Intercom
Collect feedback from Intercom conversations.
Connect Intercom to automatically collect product feedback from customer conversations and support tickets.
What you'll need
- An Intercom workspace with admin access
- An Intercom Access Token
Setup
- Go to Settings → Sources and click Add source
- Select Intercom as the source type
- Enter your configuration:

- Set the sync frequency
- Click Save
Getting your access token
- Log in to your Intercom workspace
- Go to Settings → Developers → Developer Hub
- Create a new app or select an existing one
- Navigate to Authentication and copy the access token
Make sure the token has read access to conversations.
Filtering by tags
If you only want feedback from specific conversation types, enter tag names in the Conversation Tags field. Only conversations tagged with at least one of these tags will be ingested.
Leave blank to capture all conversations.
How conversations are processed
When ProductSights syncs Intercom:
- New or updated conversations since the last sync are fetched
- The full conversation thread is included for context
- Each conversation is processed through AI triage
- The source type is recorded as "Intercom" on the resulting insight
Troubleshooting
- No conversations appearing — verify your access token has the correct permissions
- Partial data — check that conversations have the tags you specified (if using tag filters)
- Rate limits — Intercom has API rate limits; if you hit them, try a less frequent sync schedule
